Participate in College Application Week Activities at OSTC
October 26-30, 2015
The goal of this week is to acquaint students with the college application process and to communicate the importance of applying to college by providing in-class time and instructor support to do so. In order to fully participate, students are encouraged to use either their Career Cruising (www.careercruising.com) account to research colleges or they may complete the OSTC Career Tree Branch report. (http://www.flynnscareerandcollegeready.com/ ) This is a guided exercise that students complete in cluster with their instructors, which will provide ongoing guidance and conversation for students and parents linking career choice to education level.

Application Fees for online applications require a credit card. (Many of fees are waived during this week.) If a student is not able to pay the fee, they can submit a FEE WAIVER application, signed by sending school counselor. We will be applying in class on October 26-30 during regular cluster time. You may allow students to do this anytime during the week, but assistance will show up according to the schedule above.
Step 2: (only Universities) ORDER ACT/SAT SCORES : Universities now require that students have their ACT and/or SAT scores sent directly from the testing service (www.act.org or www.collegeboard.com). You may have already requested that your scores be sent to a particular school(s) when you took the admissions test(s). Your ACT/SAT scores must be sent to every college you apply to.
